Shirley Lunski

Shirley Lunski, 85, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, at Maple View Memory Care in Grand Forks. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Shirley Kise was born on February 20, 1940, in Bagley, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Palma (Johnson) Kise. She grew up and attended school in Winsor, MN and Gonvick, MN. On May 26, 1959, Shirley married Don Lunski at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. In addition to raising her family, Shirley worked at the Westward Ho in Grand Forks. She enjoyed shopping with Laura, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Dean) Lyste, Northwood, ND; brother, Randy Kise, Mayville, ND; grandchildren: Danny (Jessica) Green, Justine (Luke) Bueligan, Angela Lyste (Kyle Paulson), Michael (Jordan) Lyste; great-grandchildren: Gracie, Easton, Jerzee, Sonny, Rylee, and Logan.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Don; her parents; brothers: Kenneth, Leslie, Dennis; sister, Connie; son, Danny; daughter Cindy; and son-in-law, Brian Green.
