Myrle "Peache" Thingelstad

Myrle “Peache” Thingelstad, 83, of Northwood, ND passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until the time of the service at the church.

Myrle “Peache” Vangsness was born September 28, 1934 in Aneta, ND to Henry and Luella (Burros) Vangsness. On November 14, 1954, Peache married Wallace Thingelstad. She was a farmer’s wife and homemaker. Peache loved to read, play golf, travel, play cards and spend time with her family. She loved her church family and friends. Peache taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir and was part of the church music group called the Cluckers.

Survivors include her son, Carey Thingelstad, Fishers, IN; daughter, Colleen Thingelstad, Mead, WA; grandsons, Blake Young and Corey Thingelstad; granddaughter, Kelly Thingelstad; sister, Barbara Anderson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wallace; and sisters, Jean Moen and Laughaline Halvorson.

Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church General Fund.
