Morris Jacobson

June 16, 1928 — February 23, 2014

Morris A. Jacobson, 85, of Northwood, ND passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northwood, ND. A visitation will be held one hour before the time of the service at the church.
Morris was born June 16, 1928 in Sharon, ND to Andrew and Tena (Wasness) Jacobson. He was raised and educated in Finley, ND and Beaver Creek Township. On October 23, 1954, Morris married Ruth Pratt. Morris farmed west of the Northwood area for several years. After farming, he was employed at NDHC for 27 years until his retirement in 1996 as director of maintenance. He volunteered and taught EMT classes for the Northwood ambulance squad. Throughout the years, he served on the city council, was a member of the Lions Club and was an active member of NELC.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; Children: Kevin (Jill) Jacobson, Kindred, ND, Todd (Lindsey) Jacobson, Eagle, CO, Claudia (Kevin) Thielman, Grand Forks, ND; Grandchildren: Stephanie (Robert) Vaagene, Tanner (Heather) Jacobson, Kassandra Jacobson, Trever (Brittany) Jacobson, Betsi Jacobson, Savannah Jacobson and Tommy Jacobson; Great Grandchildren: Morgan, Parker, Presley, McKynlie, Zoey, and Hunter; Sister, Phyllis (Harold) Keeler, Sumter, SC.
Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings: Elvin Jacobson, Julian Jacobson, Doris Olson, Arleen Jacobson, Kenneth Jacobson and Duane Jacobson; Great Grandchild, Randall Jacobson.
