Mary Ellen Landa

Mary Ellen Landa, 74, of Reynolds, ND passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held on hour before the time of the service at the church.

Mary Ellen Hjelmstad was born April 19, 1940 to Henry and Adeline Hjelmstad. She grew up near Hatton, ND and graduated from Fargo Oak Grove High School. Mary Ellen married Ardell Landa in Hillsboro, ND. She enjoyed playing bingo on Saturday nights, spending time with family and friends, and watching her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Todd (June) Landa, Reynolds, ND; grandsons, Dalton and Dustin Landa; nephew, Greg (Donna) Hjelmstad; nieces: Holly Hjelmstad, Missoula, MT, and Kristy Woodridge, Mesa, AZ.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ardell, and brother Ronald.
