Marlo was born on June 16th, 1956, in Grand Forks, ND, to Abener & Gladys (Nelson) Jodock. They lived in town in Northwood and then moved to the family farm in Grace Township when he was a young child after the loss of his grandmother. He attended school in Northwood and graduated with the class of 1974. He then attended ND State College of Science in Wapheton, ND. Marlo and his friend, Ray Bullert, started a business: M&R Communications which included doing business band radio work for many area farms and businesses, cell phone sales, satellite TV and towers.

Marlo was united in marriage to Angela Brown on September 18, 1992, at NELC, in Northwood. His “love of a lifetime” for 30 years; working and sharing life together everyday they could.

He accomplished playing the acoustic guitar for fun and was a member of several worship teams in area churches, and was an excellent sound tech. He enjoyed providing sound for local weddings, Frost Fire Summer Theater musicals for several years, and he and his wife freely lead worship service for churches and even brought together the praise band "Outside the Box" for outreach ministry.  Marlo loved the Lord and found joy serving Him always.

Marlo also had a passion for snowmobiles, dirt bike racing, classic to hot rod cars taking in many car shows around the area and being a member of the Northwood Car Club. He enjoyed the past by stepping back in time at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion each year where he was proud to be a member and looked forward to catching up once a year with friends. Marlo also cherished time with family at get togethers and family events. He was always willing to help others and volunteered his hands to serving others.
