Margie Kulberg

Margie Ann Kulberg, 71, of Northwood, ND passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at her home in Northwood after a hard-fought battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Margie Ann Beyer was born on March 4, 1950, in Grafton, ND to Gunnar and Ruby (Johnson) Beyer. She was raised in Hoople, ND and graduated from Grafton High School. Margie was the proud mother of Angie, Suzanne, and Ryan. She never missed a sporting event and put on the best birthday parties for them including roller skating rinks, spanking machines, and games in the back yard. She continued her devotion with her grandchildren by attending as many sporting events, dance recitals, and music concerts as she could. The ‘Magnificent 7’ grandchildren were her pride and joys. In 1993, she married Ron Kulberg and they lived in rural St. Thomas. They provided foster care for 20 years through PATH of North Dakota. Margie worked as a cook for the Park River Bible Camp for a few summers. After retirement, they moved to Horseshoe Bend, ID. After Ron passed away, she moved back to North Dakota and lived in Northwood until the time of her death.

Margie’s main goal in life was to lead her children and grandchildren and instill her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She also had a love for animals and rescued many throughout her life. Margie was always the life of the party everywhere she went.

Margie is survived by her children: Angie (David) Larson, Devils Lake, ND; Suzanne (Mark) Howes, Northwood, ND, Ryan (Julie) Heuchert, Grand Forks, ND; seven grandchildren: Aaron Bjerke (Britny), Noah Bjerke, Micah Bjerke, Paige Larson, Ben Larson, Charley Heuchert, and Gunnar Heuchert; sisters, Judy Frost, Boise, ID and Connie Famiglietti, Southbury, CT. Margie is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Gunnar, and Ruby Beyer; and husband, Ron Kulberg.

I was saddened to see that Margie is no longer in this world to share her genuine concern and love for others. I will always remember when Margie invited my kindergarten class in St Thomas to her farm. It was a learning experience for the students and so much fun! Her life displayed Jesus' love and strength to many and Margie gave Him the glory. She, now, can see her Lord and Savior face to face! To family and friends, it is a time of sadness but also a reminder to continue to share Jesus' light with others in ways God has gifted us, as Margie used her gifts from Jesus, letting Him shine brightly!

I will miss her love of animals and her huge heart. She had a way of making everyone feel so loved and welcome in her life. Many hugs to the family and give Stella a big one from me too!
