Manfred Larson

Manfred “Manny” Larson, 81, of Northwood, ND passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Manfred Dale Larson was born September 11, 1938 to Melvin and Beranza Pearl (Olson) Larson. He grew up in Northwood and attended school through the eighth grade. Manny joined the U.S. Army for 2 years and discharged from active duty in November of 1963. He also spent time at Nekoma on a missile wing. Manny did some carpentry in Fargo for a couple years.

Survivors include his brother, Robert (Kazumi) Mandt, Fargo, ND; sister-in-laws: Ilene Larson, Portland, ND and Maxine Larson, Grafton, ND; brother-in-law, Perdean Flesche, Grand Forks, ND; eight nieces and nine nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Melvin and Beranza Pearl; sisters: Marlys Thompson, Virginia Johnson, Karen Flesche and Carol Larson; brothers: Orville, Ardell, Charles, and Galen Larson.

The best way to describe Manny was “Manny is just Manny,” a quiet man.
