Keith "Kippy" Ostlie

Keith “Kippy” Ostlie, 64, of Hatton, ND passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his home in Hatton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton.

Keith Ostlie was born May 29, 1956 in Northwood, ND to Palmer and Jane (Gladys) Ostlie (Tupa). He grew up in Northwood and was baptized and confirmed at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. He attended Northwood Public School. On March 31, 1989, Keith married Tami Mastrud in Hatton and to this marriage brought a loving son, Justin Keith. Keith worked at various places throughout his life. He helped farm with Leland and Larry Hanson, the Wasness brothers, and Johnson Stock Farm. Keith would then help his friend, Lyle Sanda haul hay and help Mark Stavens with his farming. For seven years, he worked for Lloyd Thorsgard on his cattle farm. Keith enjoyed watching car racing when he could find the right channel it was on.

Survivors include his wife, Tami of Hatton; son, Justin Ostlie, Mayville, ND; sister, Vicki (Dale) Larson, Grand Forks, ND; brothers: Bruce Ostlie, Minnesota; Jerry Ostlie, Hettinger, ND; Bradley (Dianne) Ostlie, Northwood; Jeff Ostlie, Grand Forks, ND. Keith is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, both sets of grandparents, brother, Randy; father-in-law, Myron Mastrud; brother-in-laws, Butch Mastrud and Michael Holkesvig; sister-in-laws: Debra Frandson, Dorothy Flaten and Marlene Mastrud.
