Kacee Staskivige

April 26, 1987 — June 27, 2022

Kacee Staskivige, 35, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Northwood, ND, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Kacee Staskivige was born April 26, 1987, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Gerald and Cheryl (Albertson) Staskivige. She attended school in Northwood and graduated in 2006.

Kacee had many likes and enjoyed working with people of all ages involving social work and human services. She loved kids and they loved her. Kacee had a good sense of humor and when her family and friends speak of her, most will say “Kacee was fun!”

Kacee loved having her friends stay over, riding horses, jumping on the trampoline, playing sports (especially volleyball), hunting, fishing (especially with Levi), snowboarding, shopping, decorating, and painting, cooking and eating. Kacee was the best eater. She even loved Lutefisk.

Kacee was such a natural horse lady and won many awards on her old Arabian horse, Dervie. At the age of 7 years, she trained her own 2-year-old welch pony to run barrels, poles, and jump over high obstacles.

Survivors include her parents, Gerald and Cheryl (Albertson) Staskivige; brother, Tyler Staskivige; sister, Halee Staskivige; her best friend and significant other, Levi Thordarson; aunts and uncles: Richard (Marie) Staskivige; Bob and Jane (Staskivige) Cable; Tyrone (Julie) Albertson; John Blue; and many special cousins and friends.

Kacee was preceded in death and will be greeted and loved by her grandparents: Daniel and Verneil Staskivige; Theodore and Fern Albertson; great-grandmother, Selma Enget; aunt, Fran (Albertson) Hilsman; uncle, Gerald Hilsman; Aunt, Pamela (Albertson) Blue; and her 1st cousins, Ryan Staskivige and Ross Hilsman.

Kacee will be forever missed by all who loved her.
