Judith Anderson

Judith Anderson, 78, of Northwood, ND passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at the Bilden-Askew Funeral Home in Northwood.

Judith was born September 25, 1939, in Brocket, ND, to Jacob and Marie Olson. She attended school in Brocket, graduating in 1957. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN graduating in 1961 with an English Major. On December 29, 1961 Judith was united in marriage to Floyd T. Anderson. They taught school in Chinook, MT; Havre, MT; East Grand Forks, MN; King City, CA, and Alsen, ND before moving to Brocket, ND to farm and raise their four children.

In 1999, they retired from farming and moved to Northwood, ND to be closer to some of her grandchildren. She loved to spoil her grandchildren, especially with homemade buns. Judith will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Judith was always active in her community. She was a dedicated teacher both in the formal school setting and in other areas of the community including serving as a Sunday School teacher, 4-H Leader and as a bible study leader. She will be remembered by family and friends as a woman of great strength and selflessness.

Judith is survived by her husband Floyd; her daughters, Noreen (Rob) Brommer of Rosemount, MN, Julie (Jeffrey) Johnson of Hatton, ND, Tamara Anderson, Eagan, MN and son Thomas Anderson, Moorhead, MN; five grandchildren, Andrew Brommer, Jaden Voigt, Janna Johnson, Jaclyn Brommer and Jordan Johnson; and her brothers, Kenneth, Gerald, and Norris; sister, Delores Sandager. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John.
