Joyce Pladson

Joyce Pladson, age 82 of Hatton, ND passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center, Northwood, ND.
Joyce Mae Huus was born May 26, 1931 at Northwood, ND the daughter of John and Myrtle (Burras) Huus. She grew up and attended school in Hatton, ND. Joyce married John Bjerke in 1948. She was the Activities Director at Northwood Deaconess Health Center and also worked at the Hatton Prairie Village. John passed away in 1976. Joyce later married James Pladson on April 6, 1984 in Northwood. The couple farmed near Hatton until retiring in 1995. They still have their home on the farm.
Joyce is survived by her husband, James Pladson of Hatton; daughter, Roxanne (Gregg) Hawley of Bismarck; son, Perry Bjerke of Mcville, ND; brother, Don Huus of Hatton; sister, Ginny Ovrid of Hartford, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John; daughter, Rebecca Sanda; son, Jeff Bjerke; two sisters, Delores Myron and Janice Lipsea.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Goose River Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation at the church one hour prior to services.
