Jeff Halvorson

Jeff Halvorson, 54, rural Emerado, ND passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at his farm home. Jeff was born October 31, 1954 in Devils Lake, ND to Selmer and Beulah Halvorson. He was raised on their family farm North of Tolna, ND where he attended school and was a l972 graduate. On May 6, l977 he married Mary Ensrud. Together they had 3 children, Wyatt, Daisy and Kalya. Jeff purchased his dream farm in l989 in the rural Emerado area. He was employed by the Hagert Farms, rural Emerado. He had a strong passion for the ranching life with much knowledge that was called upon by friends and neighbors. He also had a passion for hunting and fishing which he loved to do with his family and friends. Jeff is survived by his wife Mary, three children, Wyatt( Cherron) Halvorson of Stacy, MN, Daisy Halvorson of Sierra Vista, AZ, Kayla (Jeremy) Knudson of Blanchard, ND, 2 grandchildren, Bryce Thompson and Mason Knudson, sister Beverly (Kail) McDavid, brother Bruce (Linda) Halvorson, sister Gwen (George) Young and brother Marc (Kathy) Halvorson.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wesley Halvorson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at ll:00 A.M. in the St Stephen's Catholic Church at Larimore, ND. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 on Friday, July 31, at the Bilden Funeral Home, Northwood with a 7:00 prayer service. The interment will be in the Tolna Cemetery, Tolna, ND.
