Helga Reyerson

December 11, 1910 — April 20, 2009

Helga Reyerson, 98, of Finley, North Dakota died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, North Dakota.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharon with burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.

Helga Gullicks was born December 11, 1910 at rural Sharon, North Dakota the daughter of Charlie and Ingeborg (Hallen) Gullicks. She was raised there attending country school and graduating from Sharon High School in 1929. She then attended Mayville State Teachers College where she received her teaching degree. Once she finished college she taught in Hauge, North Dakota and then in rural Northwood, North Dakota. In 1932 she was united in marriage to Harold Reyerson in Finley. They made their home in Madison, Minnesota and in 1941 moved to a farm near Sharon. They farmed for many years before retiring in 1966. In 1971 they moved into Finley. Mr. Reyerson died in 1976. Helga continued to make her home in Finley before moving to the Luther Memorial Home three years ago.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the church and taught Sunday school for many years.
Helga enjoyed reading and staying up late. Her greatest delight in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Kjellaug) of Sharon, North Dakota and David (Betty) of Horace, North Dakota; six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, Gullick Gullicks of Stanley, North Dakota and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, James; brothers, Ingolf, Carl and Roy and sisters, Anna, Cora, Nora, Ruth and Evelyn.

The Bilden Funeral Home of Northwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
