I remember Mr. Iverson looking over those glasses at me in math class in St. Thomas. I was just thinking about him this week and how much he taught me. I too followed in his footsteps and went to Mayville and into teaching. I remember he always pointed to a number on the board with his middle finger and of course we would all giggle. Then he'd look over his glasses at us again and we'd sit up straight and pay attention. He was an excellent teacher and he cared about his students. I feel so blessed to have had his as a teacher. My deepest sympathy to you and yours.

Mary,Kenn,& Tami, I am sorry to hear of the passing of Tom. He was a match teacher of mine while I was at Mayville-Portland HS. When I was younger he taught a math class and I thought he was so strict. As I grew older and had another computer class from him I learned a great deal about him and always enjoyed speaking with him. He thought a lot of life lessons and he will be missed.

We are sorry and saddened to hear that Tom passed away. Besides being a great math teacher and friend, Tom was also a great mentor. I credit Tom for my success as a math teacher, as he guided and nurtured me through my student-teaching experience. Tom touched the lives of many and will be truely missed.
