Gordon Ovrid

Gordon Ovrid, 91, of Hatton, ND passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the nursing home.

Gordon was born January 4, 1925 in Finley, ND to Theodore and Mary (Thompson) Ovrid. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1949 - 1950. Gordon worked for American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks, MN. He was employed by several farmers in the Hatton area. In 1986, Gordon married Doris Lyste at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; sister, Francis Ehnet, Mesa, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers: Ted, Thelmer and Leroy; sisters, Mardell and Olive.
