Gladsey Boe

Gladsey Boe, 82, of Hatton, North Dakota died Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Little Forks Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, North Dakota with burial in the Little Forks Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Prayer Service and one hour prior to service in the church.

Gladsey Thompson was born November 3, 1928 on a farm rural Hatton, North Dakota the daughter of William and Selma (Groth) Thompson. She was raised there and attended school in Hatton graduating in 1946. She was baptized and confirmed at Goose River Lutheran Church rural Hatton. After graduation she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. On May 15, 1949, Gladsey was united in marriage to Paul O. Boe at Goose River Lutheran Church. They established their home on Paul's grandparents farm in rural Hatton until 1960 when they bought the Erickson Farm in Beaver Creek Township. They farmed there for many years and Gladsey also worked at the Hatton Post Office for nineteen years. Paul passed on October 18, 2002. She continued to live on the farm until moving to the Hatton Prairie Village in 2008.

She was a member of Little Forks Lutheran Church. Over the years Gladsey was active in her Church and the Community volunteering in many capacities. She was active in Farm Bureau, Hatton Food Pantry, Hatton Eielson Museum, and 4-H. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, auction sales and found many peaceful hours sitting around the bonfire on the farm.

Gladsey will be dearly missed by her children, Debbie (Russ) Hedstrom of Fargo, North Dakota, Danny (Rita) Boe of Hatton, North Dakota and Penny (Ken) Fleckenstein of Bismarck, North Dakota; daughter-in-law, Sandy Boe of Hatton, North Dakota; grandchildren, Barry, Brady and Kirby Hedstrom, Wendy (Scott) Paulsen, Teresa (Brian) Nagel, Cari (David) Franzen, Dana (Tina ) Boe, Kathy (John) Clemens, Kurtis (Lisa) Boe, Korey (Molly) Boe, Tyler and Amy Fleckenstein; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Selma (Gale) Bartholomay of Fargo, North Dakota; brothers-in-law, Peter Boe of Hatton, North Dakota and Douglas Ludwig of Hillsboro, North Dakota and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, son, Jeff, brothers, Walter, Lewis and Willie, Jr. and sister, Thelma Pladson.

The Bilden Funeral Home of Hatton is assisting the family with arrangements.
