The man who taught me trust... Numerous times Ernie gave me the keys to the school so I could go lift weights or fetch an assignment. As his next door neighbor I knew him and he knew me. A brief lesson the first time I asked for those keys now stretches into forever as I've used it countless times with my own children and numerous students. Ernie looked a 7th grader in the eye and said, "We trust each other right?" I thought it was strange but said yes. His retort? "Don't make me regret giving you these." Yes sir. Thanks for the lesson in trust Ernie, neighbor, friend. God's Blessings to a great man...
