Guestbook

Ella was a warm, sweet person. We were farm neighbors to the Hilman family at Plummer. Ella made us feel welcome in her home and was generous with her wonderful meals. I remember her molasses cookies and barbecued lamb as my favorite. The Culkins kids had her children as friends & classmates & have good memories of bus rides. Ella packed great school lunches and son Dale would share his lunch with me on bus rides. Keep her sweet memories in your hearts. My sympathy, Gloria

I remember many nice visits out to the farm on Sunday afternoons (Sunday was the day for visiting years ago) and she was always so friendly & fun to visit. Embrace the happy memories you had with her, a wonderful lady!

I had the wonderful privilege to visit with Ella and Karen when we'd meet at Little Forks Church. She had an amazing memory and talked of being the same age as my aunt, Jean. Ella was a true gem of this earth! To all of Ella's family, May God Bless the memories.

So saddened to hear about your loss. Losing someone you love is never easy. May God provide you the strength needed now and in the days ahead. (Isaiah 12:2; Psalm 34:18)

Ella was my dad's - Norris (Dad's - first cousin - his mom was Andrine (Nyhus) Schjeldahl . We first met Ella out on the family farm for a reunion/picnic. She was a gracious host and informant of family history then and later. She supplied me with many, many pictures for Schjeldahl/Nyhus family history over the years since that picnic. All of Dad's family was born at the farm. She would supply us with good food , good coffee, and good friendship, when we stopped for a visit. We are sorry for your loss and grieve for your family. We are sorry that we will not get to the funeral (I have been sick, and am not up to it.)

So sorry to hear the news. I loved the time I spent with Karen and the family. Your mom made the best molasses or ginger cookies in the world and always made me feel welcome. She was a truly wonderful person.
