Edward Fisher

April 10, 1943 — November 7, 2015

Edward Carl Fisher, 72, of Northwood, ND passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his home in Northwood. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Edward Carl Fisher was born April 10, 1943, to Carl and Marie (Lorch) Fisher at Fargo, ND. His family lived in Grandin, ND at the time. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. They later moved to Hillsboro, ND where he attended school until his family moved to Northwood. Eddie graduated from Northwood High School in 1961.

After high school, Eddie attended a 2-year program at the Wahpeton State School of Science where he received a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He became employed with the Larimore Farm Equipment business. In 1963, Eddie joined the Army and spent 14 months in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1966. Upon his return, he was again employed in Larimore. He became employed with Uglem-Ness in Northwood and retired after 35 years. He was a member of the Northwood American Legion and served on the Northwood City Council. Eddie enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a collector of toy tractors.

Survivors include his aunt, Gladys Odegaard, Cooperstown, ND; uncle and aunt Bob and Janice Lorch, Hillsboro, ND; and numerous cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
