thankful I was able to share in your Dad's funeral. The opening hymn "Higher Ground" was one of your Dads favorite I am sure. What a legacy Don left ..It was so wonderful to hear all his grandchildren share their memories and testimonies of their Grandfather. Our family go back several years and now as I listen I can't help but think He and Allan are rejoicing in Heaven. Maybe your Mom will serve coffee. God Bless the Smaaladen family.

I hope Don's family realizes how much he will be missed at New Life Fellowship. He was always there-would come early and sit in his car reading his bible and preparing himself spiritually for the service. He was a true man of God. Every conversation would lead to the Lord. Don's presence at New Life will be missed beyond words. Art and Cheryl Johnson

To all of Donald's family - I am so sorry for your loss. It seems just yesterday I was in the school bus heading up the road to the Smaaladen farm! My thoughts and prayers are with you and I rejoice that we will, one day, see Donald again in heaven.
