DeLores Hanson, 95, of Hatton, ND, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Mayville, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
DeLores Karlstad was born January 15, 1931, in Beaver Creek Township to Lars and Clara (Johnson) Karlstad. She grew up in Golden Lake Township and graduated from Hatton High School. After high school, DeLores attended business college in Fargo, ND and worked as a bank teller in Casselton and Hatton.
On March 25, 1953, DeLores married Martin Hanson at Golden Lake Township. After marriage, she was a homemaker and later, worked at the nursing home. DeLores was very active in the Washington Prairie Church. She was a member of the church choir and even sang some solos.
DeLores enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially potato dumplings. She loved hosting family for holidays or special events. DeLores also enjoyed traveling. She went to Norway a few times and even met up with distant family.
Survivors include her children: Claire (Herb) Lohnes, Sioux Falls, SD; Keith (Ronda) Hanson, Hatton, ND; grandchildren: Jennifer Mirkovic, Erin (Nathan) Bosch, Heather Hanson (Chris Hertel), Angela (Terry) Haugen, Kristin Hanson (Jeremy Dupree), Amanda (Adam) Thorsgard, Brady Hanson; great-grandchildren: Milla and Marco Mirkovic; Olive and Robbie Bosch; Katelyn, Jaylee, and Hailey Milligan; Gracie, Natalie, Isaac, and Sadie Thorsgard; and Ryan Haugen.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Martin; brothers, Palmer Karlstad and Carsten Karlstad; sister, Adeline Neyssen-Erickson and Mardel Austinson; and grandson, Ryan Hanson.
