Dale Johnson

Dale H. Johnson, 72, of Northwood, North Dakota died, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, July 3, 2009 at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood and burial will be in Northwood City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday at the Bilden Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Prayer Service and one hour prior to services in the church.

Dale was born October 11, 1939 the son of Louis and Gina (Sagen) Johnson. He was raised in Lind Township and attended country school. On September 14, 1957 he was united in marriage to Nancy Hanson in Northwood. Over the years he worked for several area farmers and business places in Northwood. Dale retired in 2002.
He was baptized and confirmed at Bethania Lutheran Church rural Northwood where he was member until he joined Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood.
Dale was an avid collector of scale model tractors and had an exceptional skill to restore them back to mint condition.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of Northwood, North Dakota; daughter, Roxie (Gary) Pavek of Northwood, North Dakota; son, Dennis of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; brother, Neilan; sisters, Thelma Klabo, Anne Yorek and LuVerne Higdem and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brad; three brothers and one sister;
He as a wonderful husband, father and friend and will be dearly missed by all.

The Bilden Funeral Home of Northwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

I also grew up in Lind township. I attendended the same church in the country. We were nearly the same age (71, born in January 1938)I will remember him as a typical "farm boy". Myron
