Cora Grande

Cora Grande, 95, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Hatton, ND, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10:30a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held one hour before the time of the service at the church.

Cora Foss was born October 19, 1918 to Andrew and Petra (Veltiko) Foss, near Hatton. She grew up and attended Garfield Country School until 8th grade. Cora helped on the farm until marriage. On November 9, 1937, Cora married Reuben Grande. Cora was a housekeeper at Hatton Prairie Village, and she also worked at as a clerk at the Westside Grocery Store when she was in her 20's. She lived in Fargo for five years before going into Villa Maria Nursing Home. Cora enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and embroidering.

Survivors include her children: Barbara Howery, Coward, SC, Margie (Harlan) Bayman, Harvey, ND, Michael (Barb) Grande, Fargo, ND, Sherrie Potter, Camden, SC, Lorie Grande, Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Cora is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Reuben, grandson Michael Potter, siblings: Hilda (Odin) Johnson, Alvin (Adeline) Foss, Elnor Foss, Myrtle (Harris) Holman, Art (Delia) Foss;
