Clara Cordahl

Clara Cordahl, 104, of Hatton passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Hatton Prairie Village nursing home in Hatton, ND. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 23 at 2:00pm at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton, ND with a visitation from 1:00pm until the time of the service. Arrangements were made with Bilden Funeral Home of Northwood, ND
Clara was born the youngest of 10 on July 7, 1907 to Oluf and Martha (Foss) Gilberts at their farm in rural Hatton. In 1932, she married Christian Cordahl in Crookston, Minnesota. Clara worked in restaurants and was a homemaker much of her life. She was an avid sports fan and really enjoyed listening to the Minnesota Twins on the radio. Clara was a hardworking, caring mother who loved to shop and make homemade bread. Although she was a small lady, she was full of life.
She is survived by her sons: Cecil (Shirley) Cordahl, Russell Cordahl, both of Park Rapids, MN, Dennis Cordahl of Hatton, ND, Ray (Pat) Cordahl of Floral City, FL, and Clifton Cordahl of Winchester, KY; grandchildren: Amber, Marlene, Scott, John, Christi, Jeanne, Kelly, Lisa, and Beth. She is also survived by her 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Preceding Clara in death was her parents, 7 sisters, 2 brothers, and infant children Larry and Gerleen.
