Carol Bondy-Morrison, 82, or Northwood, ND, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 26, 2025. She was our foundational Mother, a loving grandmother, a sister, and a friend to many who passed and entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Carol was born February 28, 1943 to her loving parents Florence Myster Bondy and Gordon Kingdon Bondy in Drayton, North Dakota. She lived there with her loving brothers Dennis and Bruce. She attended University of North Dakota where she graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She mothered 4 sons- Brett, Blair, Bradley, and Brian. This journey of family took her to Grand Forks Park Rapids, Winston-Salem, Northwood, Fargo, and Cold Spring. She focused on her family and was the cornerstone to their foundations. She guided them with unconditional love and her faith. She was the light through their lives and was their unshakeable constant.
She returned to Northwood where she found her new focus. Old friends, new friends, the community, and her Church. She was still always present in her boys lives, but this community was a driving passion. She crafted with several groups- The Happy Hookers, Quilting/knitting/crocheting groups- where quilts for graduates were made, blankets and beanies for babies- and other people who needed or wanted one. She played cards- Bunko. She had Friday night dinners with Ken and Diane. Took part in Book clubs. She was a very active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church- involved in many committees and events. One of her favorites was putting on the Christmas shopping for the local community children. She would work at Agvise in the fall- because she liked the work- really it was all the people there. She would do anything that put her in a position to make an impact be it for her children, her family, her community, or her Church. Carol also loved to fish; spending time with her sister in laws; to travel- Mexico, New York, across the United States, and her most recent adventure of Norway. She loved to take trips to see family no matter the occasion. Carol was also a vivacious Vikings fan.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents- Gordon and Florence and both her brothers- Dennis and Bruce. Carol is survived by her four sons: Brett Morrison; Blair (Laura) Morrison; Brad (Stardust) Morrison; and Brian Morrison. Her beloved grandchildren: Katelyn (Brett); Isaiah (Blair & Laura) and Makenzie and Mason (Brad & Stardust). She is also survived by her in-laws Marie & Clay Dunlap, Lilas Bondy and Cindy Bondy. As well as her loving nieces and nephews, Eric, Melissa and Mark (Lilas and Dennis); Ginny and Josh (Cindy and Bruce). Scott and Sue (Percy and Judy).
Mom- we love you and will always hold you in our hearts.
