Betty Ramstad Pickar

Betty J. Ramstad Pickar, 95, of Hatton, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the nursing home. Memorials are preferred to the Westfield Silent Hill Cemetery, rural Sharon, ND.

Betty Amundson was born September 9, 1930, in Sharon, ND, to Arthur and Clara Amundson. On January 11, 1962, Betty married the love of her life, Harold Ramstad in Las Vegas, NV. Harold built him and Betty a house on their farmstead, where they lived until moving to Finley in 2009. Betty was a bank teller at Sharon Bank for 13 years. Betty and Harold enjoyed traveling. Their favorites were when they went to Hawaii three times and Las Vegas twice a year. Betty loved to shop, garden and going out to eat. Harold passed away in 2012. Betty married Richard Pickar in 2014 and he passed away in 2020.

Betty is survived by a niece, Shelly (Tony) Rodriguez and great-nephew, Matthew Rodriguez of Fargo; niece, JoDee Amundson and great-nephew, Luke Amundson; sister-in-law, Penny (Gary) Kirk and nephew Bryson Kirk of Finley and niece McKayla (Hunter) Karger of Detroit Lakes. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by both of her spouses, her parents, and her brothers: Donald, Bob, Nordean, and Claris Amundson.
