Audrey Ostlie

Audrey Ostlie, 74, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Northwood, ND, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Audrey was born January 30, 1951, at Northwood, ND to Howard and Irene (Nelson) Rasmussen. Her family moved to Fisher, MN, where her dad worked at a cattle farm. In 1966, they returned to the family farm. Audrey graduated from Northwood High School in 1969 and then attended Aakers Business College.

On August 21, 1970, she married James Ostlie at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church. After their marriage they lived in Hope, ND, before returning to the family farm. Audrey worked as a social worker at Northwood Deaconess Health Center, a teller at American Federal, and also worked at Agvise and JoAnn’s Fabric. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for many special events, spending time with her kids and grandkids and hosting family events were very important to her.

She is survived by her husband, James; children: Shawn Ostlie and Kevin Ostlie both of Fargo, ND, Mike (Mary) Ostlie, Jamestown, ND, Jeanette (Brett) Summerville, Campbell, MN; her grandchildren: Theodore, Orion, Henry and Emmer; Kaylee and Harrison; special feline friend, Tilly. Also surviving are her siblings: Harlan (Lori) Rasmussen, Greg Rasmussen, and Jan (Roger) Bollier.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Irene and stepmother, Gladys.
