Alison Hannestad

d. January 17, 2012

Alison Marie Hannestad,
20, of Northwood,
ND passed away on
Tuesday, January 17,
2012, near Thompson,
ND.
Alison Marie Hannestad,
"Ali" to her friends
and family, "mommy" to
the one nearest and
dearest to her heart, her
silly, smiley, cuddly little
baby boy, Tryp Allen.
Ali was a loving, albeit
challenging daughter,
who from the womb, according
to her mother
and father, felt one of
her primary purposes on
earth was to push boundaries
and challenge
conventional wisdom
and authority. She kept
people on their toes with
her quick-wit, keen mind
and full heart. Ali was
sometimes frustrating,
but never dull and never,
never, without love or
admirers. It was this
brave and freethinking
spirit that attracted people
to Ali like magnets.
It is true she was a
beauty, with a smile that
lit up hearts and rooms,
but it was her fiery spirit
and the way she fully
embraced life that made
Ali most attractive to
those who knew her and
those who wished to
know her better. Those
who knew her best, her
parents, brothers, sister,
Max, aunts, uncles, cousins,
classmates and
friends would describe
her as smart, beautiful,
the life of the party, a
mother-hen, full of sage
advice, which she readily
dispensed, but seldom
took. She knew good
from bad, right from
wrong, and would live
life her way. She loved
animals and even at the
age of three was seen
whispering to horses,
training un-trainable
mutts and rescuing the
fiercest tomcats. Traits
that would serve her well
later in life while cultivating
hoards of friends,
navigating trying relationships
and discovering
the joys of unconditional
love that are only
fully realized through
motherhood. Alison Marie
Hannestad, daughter,
sister, mother, friend,
pusher of boundaries,
free spirit, Doctor Doolittle
and all-around beautiful
princess inside and
out. Loved by many.
Remembered by all who
knew her. Probably still
challenging authority.
Rest in peace or in as
much peace as you can
be happily content with
Ali.
Alison Marie was born
February 15, 1991, to
Marlo and Cynthia
(Camperud) Hannestad.
She is survived by her
son, Tryp Allen (2), parents,
Marlo and Cyndi,

all of Northwood;
and several aunts, uncles,

grandparents, Mike
